Screening Test
I use the Stark Griffin Dyslexia Screening Test to identify early signs of dyslexia in 6 to 8 year old children. This test is non-diagnostic.
This test:
✔ Identifies signs of dyslexia.
✔ Helps me to refer to the appropriate professionals for early intervention.
✔ Empowers parents with information about dyslexia, & learning disabilities vs. learning delays.
Dyslexia Diagnosis
I use the Stark Griffin Dyslexia Assessment to diagnose dyslexia from 9 years and up (including adults).
This test:
✔ Is specific and measurable.
✔ Diagnoses the type, and severity, of dyslexia.
✔ Recommends: individualized accommodations and concessions to support learning; & appropriate therapy to grow specific learning areas.
✔Is endorsed by The Health Professions Counsel of South Africa and he Department of Basic Education.
